Jacob and Jasper are twin brothers. They have made great progress throughout their speech teletherapy sessions. When they started treatment they did not show affection to clinician, only communicated with gestures or crying. They required constant prompts to follow directions, did not label body parts or common objects, and did not make onomatopoeic/ambient sounds. At this moment, both brothers are able to request using ‘more’, label objects and body parts using approximations, can play with farm animals, and transportation vehicles as well as make their sounds. They have also made progress in following simple directions while playing and dancing. Their affection towards clinician has improved 100%. They smile, wave good-bye and send kisses and hugs to Nancy, their therapist without any prompt at the end of each session. They have mastered most of their goals and are ready to begin new ones. A special thank you to their parents that have shown dedication, and have been willing to learn, help and implement new strategies to maximize their successes in their everyday routine.
Jeziel has made incredible progress in teletherapy! His mom and therapist, Laura Rivera, have worked tirelessly during the pandemic to make tele therapy work. Jeziel is now able to establish eye contact, look at the camera, share what he does in activities, and even smile with self satisfaction!
